Sightseeing
The Tsukawara ancient burial mounds in this park combine to make one of Japan's largest historical sites. Various trees and plants such as cherry trees, hydrangea, and cosmos are planted throughout the area for visitors to enjoy. The park also features a folk history museum, a playground, and an observatory, making this area a good day trip for the whole family.

| Access | ■ From the Kumamoto Transportation Center: Take bus route '南20' / 'Minami 20' and remain on the bus for approximately 50 minutes. Get off at Tsukawara, from which the destination is approximately a 3 minute walk. * Please note that only (about) 7 buses travel this route daily. ■ From JR Kumamoto Station: Board the JR Kagoshima Main Line train (heading away from Tokyo). Remain on the train for 13 minutes and get off at Uto Station. The destination is approximately 15 minutes from Uto Station by car. ■ If traveling via the Kyūshū Expressway, the destination is approximately 20 minutes from the Mifune Interchange by car. |
