We have been operating as a kama-meshi (traditional iron-pot rice) specialty restaurant for about 70 years at the foot of Kumamoto Castle.
We are committed to using ingredients from Kumamoto, including locally grown, pesticide-free rice produced by local farmers.
Each kama-meshi is carefully cooked to order, allowing you to enjoy seasonal ingredients through our rice dishes.
Our restaurant is one of the few kama-meshi specialty establishments in Japan.
Another delight for visitors is the chance to enjoy ingredients that can only be tasted here in Kumamoto.
For vegan guests, we offer local traditional dishes such as gojiru (soybean soup) and meals prepared with fermented seasonings like koji and miso. These dishes are enjoyed daily by both local residents and visitors from overseas
