Sightseeing
This facility serves as a location for storage, assembly, maintenance and inspection of Kyushu Shinkansen (bullet train) trains, as well as a factory that performs large-scale testing and repair. The Kumamoto General Rail Yard is the third largest rail yard in Japan, behind the Hakata General Rail Yard and the Sendai Shinkansen General Rail Yard. This spot is very popular for train enthusiasts.
