Cultural resources important to the area are designated as local cultural assets under the Local Cultural Asset System introduced in January 2021 to identify local treasures that can be used for the development of the area. Modeled after the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, this pilgrimage tradition in the Takuma Sanzan Mountains started in 1926. There is a group pilgrimage on the very first Saturday of April each year.
