How to use "POPOTABI"

The “POPOTABI” tourism information service is an application for iOS/ Android smartphones, tablets, or PC browsers that can be enjoyed while walking through areas within Kumamoto. (PCs will display the screen for smartphones) In some cases the application may not be available on certain devices (if the OS version is too old or on a different OS).

How to use

Please touch your preferred route button from the two route buttons displayed in the top screen. Lists of courses for each route will be displayed. Select your preferred course and it will be displayed on Google Maps with a red marker. Please use by enlarging the display when necessary.

The order of the courses and an introduction of that location will be displayed when selecting the red course marker. (This can be closed by tapping the × in the upper right corner) It is also possible to view further details from the button.Please tap or click “Reset” if you wish to reset the display, or “Display current location” if you wish to view your current location. Sub menus for Facebook comments etc.
can be opened from the bottom of the screen, and the full menu can be opened from the upper right corner.

Attention

• GPS function must be turned on to use the application.
• The course information and information displayed on Google Maps may differ. (For example when there is no road or street on Google Maps)
• Please be careful with traffic accidents and other accidents when using the application while walking.
• This service is free of charge, however there may be charges for using telephone networks to view the website.Please confirm your packet communication charge settings beforehand in the case of using non-Japanese devices.
