Noide touge no chaya
On the right side you can find Ariake Sea and Unzen, and on the left side there are Amakusa and Uto peninsula in the middle. Once the "Noide touge no chaya", the tea house Soseki had visited before and it had been written in the Novel "Kusamakura" Here is a great spot for enjoying the sunset in Ariake Sea with an observation platform, rest rooms and parking area (for 5 vehicles). The poem to describe the beauty of this view written by Soseki, is engraved on stele and set on the observation platform. Besides that, there are many cherry blossom trees in the observation platform, it is a great place for enjoying cherry blossom.
Kusamakura Convectional Hall
Watching the video, you can make a connection between the people related to Kusamakura and in Maeda Family's villa. Further more, the guides for individual or group visitor are free.

The Villa, belonged to Maeda Family
The visitors included Nakae Choumin and Dr. Sun Yat Sen. The new year's eve in 1897 and the 2nd year in Kumamoto, Soseki and his colleges in 5th high school spent the New year holiday in the villa. The experience staying in here had been used as the background for the novel "Kusamakura". Now, the room"Rokujyou no heya" which Soseki had stayed and baths still remain and are available for visiting
