Touge no Chaya Museum
"Torigoe touge no chaya" is a famous spot, it is written in the novel"Kusamakura"by Natsume Soseki. In the novel, the author described it likes who is standing in the middle of way and making the noise 'oh' but there is no voice returned. The chaya(teahouse) was located behind the bamboo forest. It had disintegrated 1935 (S.W 10), but now the hanging billboard still exists. thechaya is reconstructed in 1989( H.S 1), April and it still remains the old fashion and the way it was. In fact, Natsume Soseki also mentioned the other "Touge no chaya", perhaps he combined the two places to one.
